Cólera in Dublin

Early Show
Since their formation in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1979, by brothers Pierre Pozzi and Redson Pozzi with their friend Val Pinheiro, Cólera has become an iconic name in the punk rock scene. As one of the oldest punk bands in the world still in action, they have solidified their place as one of Brazil's most influential punk acts.
In 2011, tragedy struck when Redson unexpectedly passed away, leaving a massive void in the band and the punk scene as a whole. Redson, a brilliant lyricist and vocalist, was a prominent figure in the band since its inception. Determined to carry on Redson's legacy and the spirit of Cólera, Val and Pierre made the decision to continue with the band. They invited Fábio Belucci on guitar and Wendel Barros on vocals, injecting new energy into the band while keeping their essence intact.
The current lineup of Cólera consists of Wendel Barros on vocals, Fábio Belucci on guitar, Pierre Pozzi on drums, and Val Pinheiro on bass. Together, these talented musicians bring a fresh perspective and youthful vigor to Cólera, ensuring that the band's spirit burns brighter than ever.
With a rich history of energetic performances in Brazil, Colombia, and Europe, the band embarks once again to the old world, marking their first visit to Europe in 15 years and their debut in Ireland during their 43 years of existence.
Join us at The Sound House in Dublin on Sunday, August 6th, for a night of punk rock celebration. Cólera's debut performance in Ireland promises to be a thrilling experience, with an opening act by Dublin's own Arcadian Shadows, a dynamic indie punk band.
