Music Machines Masters presents: DRIVETRAIN

3M is back with Detroit legend DRIVETRAIN. This is another instalment in the Dub_Troit series which aims to bridge the gap between the Dublin and Detroit underground techno scenes.

Derrick Thompson aka DRIVETRAIN is founder of Soiree Records International, Detroit’s underground music launchpad. Later establishing the techno label, Xplor Music, Thompson expanded his growing influence in electronic music. Creating an endless repertoire of quality, ground-breaking tracks ranging from house and techno to downtempo and experimental, has brought about a continuous demand for Thompson’s music from labels, major and independent, around the globe. Behind the decks, Derrick Thompson has electrified dance floors around the planet for more than a decade. His dynamic, energetic mixing technique along with his undeniably impeccable track selection has ignited crowds at the world’s most highly acclaimed clubs and venues.

Support on the day comes from 3M founder Reosc doing a special producer showcase of new music. 3M resident KERZ will also be doing an hour of originals as well as 3M’s KONNECT bringing his groovy goodness to kick off the show. 3M favourite BREAKDATA comes down to lend a helping hand of electro goodness, just off the back of having a tune featured on Dave Clarke’s “WhiteNoise” radio show. And making their 3M debut, head lads at Distrackt Records, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF wil be bringing all things techno to the mix.

The afterparty is in good hands with 3M residents BILLIE-JEAN, ELAINE and TATZER rocking the party into the wee hours, as well as Italian stallion VINZ BALBOA. Also confirmed to close out the after-party is Detroit hero and Tec-Troit festival main man MOSES MALONE. An absolutely stacked day and night of tunes. Not bad for a chilly Saturday in December. Tickets are only 15 euro for just under 12 hours of tunes. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ bout.
