DJ & Producer, Sharpson, is bringing his 00’s Throwback Trance party to Dublin this Paddys Day Weekend!

Get ready for a night of absolute mayhem as Sharpson, the infamous backwards DJ, brings the legendary energy of ‘Granny’s Gaff’ at Electric Picnic straight to the dance floor! What started in 2018 as a humble gathering in a small polytunnel on the outskirts of the festival has now grown into the biggest proper nighttime rave at Electric Picnic. Known for his high-octane performances, Sharpson will be donning his iconic fluorescent Adidas tracksuit, spinning a nostalgic set packed with rave classics from Scooter, Basshunter, DJ Cammy, and more. Expect the unexpected as he mixes with the decks upside-down, and grabs the mic to MC live—guaranteed to get everyone on their feet.

During the Covid lockdowns, the scauld-master himself, Sharpson kept the party alive with his radio show The Gaff Party on RTE Pulse, showcasing the best in techno and drum and bass emerging from Ireland. The foul-mouthed DJ is now bringing that same electrifying energy to Sharpson’s Gaff Party, where the chaos and creativity of his infamous raves will be unleashed. With a track record of releases on Dirtybird, Southpoint, and Hardcore Energy, and support from industry giants like Four Tet, Fatboy Slim, Deborah De Luca, and Riva Starr, this is an event you simply cannot miss.

With over 16 years experience in both producing and DJing electronic music, Sharpson’s energy has never faltered. The former Religion Teacher from North Dublin has performed all over Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America with his wide array of projects. His multi-genre releases and productions have accumulated millions of streams online. Now living in London working as a music producer and lecturer, Sharpson’s homecoming to the Sound House will be of epic proportion.

On support, Sharpson has Luke Grogan opening up, one of Ireland’s finest Trance and Techno producers. Grogan has recently closed out a sold-out Telegraph Building in Belfast, having turned the place upside-down with his original Hard Groove and 90’s Trance set. Closing the night, Choki Biki Records’ finest, 2step.png and MICK will be closing off the night with a UKG and bass heavy mix to tie the night together. These two DJ’s have been going non-stop since 2022, pushing the sounds of UK Bass music in Ireland alongside Choki Biki Records.

“The Gaff” is not the only place where the party is at, in the Garden the THC DJ’s will be putting on a Terrace Party. Consisting of Bobski, Dpaw,  Eskay and Intervention, the four DJ’s will be supplying the Sound House Terrace with an array of UKG, House and Techno.
