About Us

Just a two-minute walk from O’Connell Street, in the heart of Dublin City, is The Sound House: our vibrant live music and arts venue, as well as club night, founded in 2017.

Our dedication to delivering a best-in-class live platform has made us a leading figure in the entertainment and arts scene. Thanks to our commitment to quality and originality, we have become one of the most beloved venues in town, admired by both artists and audiences alike.

We are passionate about giving our guests the experience of a memorable night out by allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the music and creative atmosphere. We are fully committed to ensuring everyone involved can enjoy and connect with the performances.

Our programmes are presented across all platforms, from music to electronic, theatre to film, comedy and spoken word to talk shows and podcasts.

We focus primarily on hosting outstanding live music performances. However, more importantly, we offer a distinctive incubator for emerging artists, creatives, curators, and promoters, laying the foundations for the development of our arts industry.

The Sound House takes great pride in being a fully welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for all communities. We specialise in caring for and providing a secure environment for the alternative lifestyle community, alt-clubs, and fringe theatre acts.

We are honoured to assist you in creating unique experiences and unforgettable moments.

Our team does what it does every day because we all believe in the immense power of live performances, and we cannot wait to share them with you.

We have no fixed times, it depends on the night! Live gigs usually kick off around 7–8pm and finish by 10.30pm-ish. Club nights typically start around 11 pm and continue until the early hours. Always check your ticket for exact times.

Yes indeed — most gigs and club nights have cloakroom service. Space is limited, though, so maybe leave the giant hiking backpack at home.

Our live room is upstairs, so access can be quite tricky. If you need help, contact us before the show and we’ll do all we can to assist you.

We can only accept a physical Passport, driver’s licence, Garda Age Card, or any other government-issued photo ID. No student cards and no photocopies or screenshots of ID, very sorry!
