ALFOS: A Love from Outer Space 3rd Edition

Pint Window Productions are excited to bring A Love From Outer Space back to Dublin for 2025. 

Sean Johnston brought the magic last November to The Sound House and we’re delighted to welcome him back. Founded by the late Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston – friends, acid house veterans and fearless sonic adventurers – A Love From Outer Space (ALFOS) was, initially, the result of a shared love of slower paced sounds, incorporating a diverse array of musical selections from dub to italo, Balearic to synthwave. With the tragic passing of Andrew Weatherall in 2020, Sean Johnston continues to nurture Weatherall’s memory and carry the ALFOS torch all over the UK and on to Europe.

During lockdown, Sean brought the spirit of A Love From Outer Space online to Twitch in the form of the ALFOS Emergency Broadcast System. A transcendental cosmic disco in virtual space, ALFOS EBS provided a lifeline for cadets marooned alone across Ireland, UK, planet Earth, and beyond the stars. The return of clubs and festivals brought a whole new energy and renewed togetherness to the ALFOS parties, heralding regular missions to old established and newer ALFOS chapters alike, from metropolitan centres to further flung enclaves, including stalwart underground venues such as the Berkeley Suite (Glasgow), Phonox (London), and the legendary Golden Lion (Todmorden). 2025 has seen the release of a highly acclaimed and sought after A Love From Outer Space Album on Material Music and global ALFOS tour.
