Havana Roots blends traditional Son Cubano with the irresistible rhythms of Jamaican roots music. The sound of the Trés Cubano, piano and bongos, typical of Cuban orchestras, is combined with the reggae sound of electric guitar, bass and drums. A brass section then glues it all together.

Composed of nine talented musicians, this orchestra is known for taking classic Cuban tunes - think Buena Vista Social Club - and giving them a fresh, new twist using reggae grooves and the upbeat energy of ska, that will have you dancing all night long.

The set consists of super iconic George Michael hits, such as Faith, Fast Love, Outside and Careless Whisper. Also performed are memorable Wham Hits, such as Wake me up before you go go, Edge of Heaven, I’m Your Man, Last Christmas, Freedom, Club Tropicana and Everything She Wants.

Following on from her last sell-out headline show in WHELAN's, RACHEL is set to launch her EP in the SOUND HOUSE on December 16th. 

RACHEL will be joined on the night by an incredible band of musicians -Doireann Kelly, Ben Cully, Ian Cully and Ben Cooper.

RACHEL will be performing her Spotify discography thus far along with some new originals and surprise covers.

Sweaty and Sexy Event to prime everyone for Sammy Virji, taxis from Sound House to racket Space organised afterwards.

The Parish's inaugural event is kicking off on Saturday 16th on the Sound House Terrace with some spicy local talent from all across Ireland both north and south. Expect Hard Groove, Garage, House and Ghetto beats to get ya rowdy and ready.

Afterwards there will be taxis arranged to go see Sammy Virji by both attendees and performers, so consider this your unofficial prinks!
