Founded by the late Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston – friends, acid house veterans and fearless sonic adventurers – A Love From Outer Space (ALFOS) was, initially, the result of a shared love of slower paced sounds. Incorporating a diverse and hard to classify array of musical selections from dub to italo, Balearic to synthwave, ALFOS was thus hatched with a broad – but firm – remit: never knowingly exceed 122 BPM. Other than that, it was all gates open; all points west.
Sadly in 2020 Andrew Weatherall passed away suddenly, leaving a void of musical greatness. The current incarnation of ALFOS sees Sean Johnston continue to nurture Weatherall’s memory and carry the torch all over the UK and on to Europe.
During lockdown, Sean brought the spirit of A Love From Outer Space online to Twitch in the form of the ALFOS Emergency Broadcast System. A transcendental cosmic disco in virtual space, ALFOS EBS provided a lifeline for cadets marooned alone across Ireland, UK, planet Earth, and beyond the stars.
And thus, the end of lockdown brought a whole new energy and renewed togetherness to the ALFOS parties, heralding regular missions to old established and newer ALFOS chapters alike, from metropolitan centres to further flung enclaves, including stalwart underground venues such as the Berkeley Suite (Glasgow), Phonox (London), and the legendary Golden Lion (Todmorden).
10th of November 2023 will mark the tenth anniversary since the previous Dublin ALFOS in Twisted Pepper. This very special night presents Brother Sean taking the decks and steering the ship all night long, for an epic 5 hour set – the full A Love From Outer Space experience. We highly recommend buying tickets in advance as these unique nights always sell out.
Pint Window Productions are thrilled and honoured to have this legendary guest as its first production.

Fidel Nadal is a Latin Grammy nominated Afro-Argentine singer, songwriter and pioneer of Latin American Reggae and the underground hardcore punk movement of Argentina. Since 1988, Fidel has produced over 30 albums, including 20 as a solo artist. The Rolling Stone described him “The Rasta who Revolutionized Latin Rock” (2009) and "Fidel, the First Afro-Argentine Rasta” (2012) in covers dedicated to reggae. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Fidel began his career in 1985 as lead singer/co-founder of the influential rasta-punk band, Todos Tus Muertos (named after casualties of Argentina’s Dirty War), fusing rock, reggae, rap, salsa and cumbia with lyrics of social and political protest. TTM achieved international success and produced 8 albums. In 1995, Fidel formed Lumumba, a reggae band, with Pablo Molina (from TTM) and his brother, Amilcar Nadal and released 4 albums. In 2001, Fidel launched a successful solo career with a focus on reggae. In 2009, his hit single "International Love" was included on the FIFA Trax 2010. He received two Latin Grammy nominations in 2011 for his album, "Forever Together", and song, "Te Robaste Mi Corazó. His album “Tek a Ship” (2015) was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica by Bobby “Digital” Dixon. This 2022 Fidel will surprise again with an album that will revisit some of the most important songs of his career in collaboration with prominent figures to different musical genres from all over Latin America.
